it's just the backyard
but my imagination
says I'm in the Alps

a soft waterfall
of silk taffeta whispers
gentle words of love

winter promises
a timely March departure
I wait for bluebirds

Winter's Godzilla
looming with a frozen smile
fun or sinister?

returning my hands
to their woolen mittens, snow
flakes rest where they fell

reflections of soft
colors through sacred windows
make a festive glow

but as quickly as
it came, POOF! it's suddenly
gone in just a blur
