there are times when just
looking outside my window
is odd and surreal

even the morning
glory glows from the inside
star-petals burst forth

oftentimes the prize
is worth every bit of the
exhorbitant price

every single scrap
of me makes up the whole but
they're still scraps, aren't they?

in a blink, summer
is just a blur, as seen through
the sideview mirror

as artists, we try
pathetically to capture
God's gifts: His bounty

Birds of a feather may flock together but two in a cage are all the rage

tall majestic tree
covered with string bean streamers
curious surprise

awakening to
a new day brimming over
possibilities

once upon a time
I fit pieces together
now they fall apart

sometimes I long for
simpler times, less reliance
on technology

part alien,
part kiwi, part explosion:
a Passion Flower!

uncomplicated
sometimes the most beautiful
moments are at home

bounty of summer
golden kernals strung like pearls
organic cornrows

waxen moss roses
sit atop thick jaden leaves;
dayglowing neon

green caterpillar
bobbing on the breeze, glowing
fresh in July sun

purple coneflowers
petals hyperextended
rosey as new dawn
